Letter to USA Today:
Thank you for your balanced editorial 3/7 on Obamacare. Your last paragraph says it all:
“If Washington weren’t so dysfunctional, Congress would be working with the White House to fix (problems with Obamacare) rather than nattering over politically handy trivia.”
If Democrats and Republicans on Capitol Hill could pull together, for the sake of the country, many of our national problems could be fixed, including the deficit, the growing gap between rich and poor, the vulnerability of the middle-class, etc.
We don’t need political extremism of the left or right. We need a move toward the center in this country, politically, and a willingness on the part of politicians to put the people’s well being ahead of personal gain.
