Despots never like poets and artists
I mean the ones who display courage
tell it exactly like it is
the ones who cherish intuition
and freedom, and the pursuit of truth
and won’t play the political game,
the win or lose mentality
the pursuit of power for its own sake
who refuse to grovel
at anyone’s feet
