If I get to the point where I can’t run or walk
just roll me down the hill

If I can’t find my youth, and I can’t find my pride
I still have my guts and my will

I never thought it would come to this,
I always thought that I’d be young

But I still have my poems, and I still have my songs
I still crave the light of the sun

Now don’t treat me like I am half of a man
and don’t assume that I am dumb

I still have my heart and I still have my mind
I still tell my jokes and have fun

(repeat first two verses)
